They Will Not Hurt Nor Destroy In All My Holy Mountain
I can envision the Living God looking down from His Heavenly Kingdom and referring to Earth as His Holy Hill. After all, the New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven and be set up on this earth. Of course, that happens after the Great Tribulation, when Christ Jesus returns. At that time, Christ Jesus will make an end to the Battle of Armageddon and there will be 1000 years of peace as we reign with Christ. Of course, that is when Satan, the anti-Christ, and all the demons are defeated. With sin being defeated, the Hill is Holy, that is God’s Holy Hill! Ultimately, we have Eternal Life with a new and glorified body! The earth undergoes a lot of changes during the Great Tribulation. There are massive earthquakes, changes in the heavens, and an environment that is just about unfit for human existence. Therefore, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. In other words, during the Great Tribulation, the earth and heavens are undergoing a remodeling job; as if God is holding a jack hammer and going to work upon the earth. The Master Engineer laid down the specification that, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my Holy mountain.” God has His property picked where He will set the New Jerusalem!
The Holy Mountain is Holy because everyone on earth at that time will be full of the knowledge of the Lord. There will be no more sin in the knowledge that enters our thoughts because all things are created new, including our mind inside our glorified body. Obviously, the modern god of knowledge, and the thoughts flowing from the system of the anti-Christ, will no longer exist. Presently, when we think of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross, we think of our sinful thoughts being nailed to the Cross with Him. In that case, there is a resurrection of new thoughts that blossom by the work of the Holy Spirit. We begin to think according to God’s one plan, and that plan is for the redemption of mankind. God’s plan of redemption is to save us from the torment of Hell, and to spare us from the torment of the Great Tribulation. Presently, on earth we have the infilling of the Holy spirit to comfort us with the first fruits of the glorified body that we will receive in the Kingdom of God. But, that world comes to an end when Christ returns, “for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.”
You know, even in the Great Tribulation there will be individuals that come to accept what Christ Jesus did for them on the Cross. As hard as the anti-Christ tries, the Word of God is forever, even though this age will pass away! The pressure, persecution, death, and misery that comes upon those living for the Living God, through Christ Jesus, is not able to separate from the Love of God. People really will fear the One who is able to destroy the soul and body in Hell more than they fear those who can kill the body on this earth. In that day, Christ Jesus will continue to stand as a sign of the people, and the unredeemed will seek for Him, and when they find Him their spiritual rest will be glorious….EVEN IN THE GREAT TRIBULATION! “In that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.”
Christ Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! Only through Him will we discover the Door leading into the Kingdom of God. God’s plan of redemption is for today and will continue through the Great Tribulation! Our redemption comes through His Son Jesus Christ who gave His life for the remission of sin. With sin in remission, Satan and the anti-Christ has no way to pull us into the Great Tribulation and is prohibited from pulling us into the fire of Hell. As Christ Jesus abides in us, we are granted victory over the world, the flesh, and Satan. We become citizens of the New Jerusalem that sits on God’s Holy Mountain! Through Christ, we are set apart from the kingdom of this world because we have a Home reserved for us in the Kingdom of God!
“They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” Isaiah 11:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
