Let Us Cross Over To The Other Side
Coming into the presence of God can be a very fearful experience. That’s because we are passing from the realm of flesh and blood into a realm of Spirits. We are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but the battle is against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. The fear arises from within the sinful nature, where Satan and His demons throws the fearful storms at you. Satan is the strictest and most evil border patrol official of all time. Satan does not want you to cross over into fellowship with God. Even so, the Spirit of Peace is with us when we pass over into the other side, the side where we rest in the Spirit of God. What Christ did on the Cross gives us victory over sin and fear, that is where our faith should be, and that faith makes us victorious over the rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness. We will pass safely into the Spiritual realm of God the Father by our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. At the Cross of Christ, we hear the words spoken. “Peace be still.”
Passing over to the other side puts us into the presence of God, which is Spirit and not of this world. That means that our fellowship with God turns our focus on the Spiritual and not the things of this world. All the things we once wished for according to the flesh and blood are now put aside for a life within the Spirit of God. Satan will attack you with a great storm in many ways to keep you from entering that promised land. Family, health, security, finances, peer pressure, job, pessimism, ambitions, ridicule, and lusts of every type are among Satan’s weapons to cause you to fear your walk with God. Satan and his demons will steal, kill, and destroy every worldly thing you have to try to destroy your desire to pass to the other side. When we walk with God, we are set apart from the ways of the world, the flesh, and Satan. How do we pass to the other side? We do that according to what Christ has done for us on the Cross. Sin thwarts us from passing into the presence of God, and in that sin is where Satan dwells and where his demons will assault you with great storms. Faith in Christ puts that sin into remission and allows the Holy Spirit to work in us to defeat Satan everyday and every moment. It is in the presence of God, through His Son Jesus Christ, that we hear the Holy Spirit say, “Peace, be still.”
We are the Temple of God, therefore the great storms of our life will occur within us, within our emotions, spirit, thoughts, soul, and attitude. Satan wants to rule over the Temple of God and will use modern technology to establish his “god” within you. Howbeit, it is the Holy Spirit that defeats the raging storms that assaults the internal happenings within God’s House. The Holy Spirit brings comfort, peace, love, faithfulness, joy, and perseverance within the raging storms. The Holy Spirit is given to us from the Cross of Christ. As we abide in Christ from day to day there is not room for any other to occupy God’s House as God’s minister.
“And the same day, when the even was come, he said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
