Concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz

Names of babies are usually selected before the birth of the child. A girl’s name is selected as well as a boy’s name before even the x-ray reveals the sex of the child. Isaiah did this for the child that he would father. Except, in his case, he chose only a boy’s name and that name was chosen before even “going into” the would-be mother of the child. Another unusual part of this birth is that Isaiah would call into his presence two witnesses to verify this prophecy. One witness was Uriah the priest, the priest of the wicked king Ahaz, and the other witness would be Zechariah! Isaiah’s son’s name means to be “quick to the plunder, swift to the spoil” Before the child even would utter the words “mama” or “papa” the king of Assyria would overrun Damascus and Samaria! Damascus and Samaria were those giving life to the plot to vex Judah with the intent to dispose of king Ahaz, the present ruler over the Tribe of Judah! The Living God made good on His plan of redemption, which was to bring His Son Christ Jesus into this world through the Tribe of Judah!

The Great Tribulation comes about as the Church falls away from the first love of what Christ Jesus did for us on the Cross. The Church becomes very worldly, grieves the Holy Ghost, and allows Satan to poison their worship and praise of the Living God. It’s like giving birth to behavior that is “quick to the plunder, swift to the spoil.” Which is exactly what the anti-Christ will do when the Church is no longer a factor in this world. The Church and the kingdom of this world refuses the softly flowing waters of the Holy Ghost! Let us choose to live life by the fruit of the Holy Ghost, and let us choose the good part like Mary, “…one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.

In the days giving birth to the quickness to plunder and being swift to spoil, those who profess to serving the Living God are actually rejoicing in the vexing of the promises that God gives to us through His Son Christ Jesus. They vex the remission of sin, the infilling of the Holy ghost, fellowship with the Spirit of God, the Resurrection and Rapture, faith in the Second coming of Jesus Christ, and all promises given to us through the Holy Scriptures. As far as that goes, even the Holy Scriptures are something that is being plundered and spoiled. Satan steals, kills, and destroys while in the process of paving a way for the coming of the anti-Christ. Through the sin of individuals, Satan has his way! BUT, Jesus Christ is coming soon for those faithful to the way of the Cross of Christ. Let our faith in what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross be like that of Mary’s, “…one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Choose the softly flowing waters of the Holy Ghost!

As the spirit of the anti-Christ becomes more prominent in the world today, Satan more blatantly is quick to plunder and swift to the spoil. Satan steals and destroys the things of the Living God to kill the Message of the Cross of Christ, and the presence of the Holy Ghost. HOWBEIT, Christ Jesus has defeated Satan at the Cross and through the Holy Ghost we know to reject the evil and to choose the good. Like Mary we know  “…one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. Choose the softly flowing waters of the Holy Ghost! Choosing the knowledge and information of the modern god of this age is not the good part and even closes the door to the soul and spirit!

The flood of the anti-Christ will be up to the neck and as wide as the land! That will be an ugly, ugly day in the history within the kingdom of this world! At this time, the Church will have completely fallen away from the Living God, what Christ did at the Cross for the remission of sin, and will have rejected the Holy Ghost! As well, those born of the Cross of Christ will have been Raptured and taken to their Home in the Kingdom of God. HOWBEIT, today we are still able to accept what Christ Jesus did for us the Cross, which is to remit the sin that the anti-Christ uses to come to power. As the Spirit of Christ abides in us, Satan’s schemes to steal, kill, and destroy the Spirit of the Living God is overcome. Today, we can see the flood waters of the anti-Christ begin to rise! The Church no longer preaches on the Message of the Cross, school violence and godless curriculum abounds, the workplace disparages employees whose faith is in Christ Jesus, world terrorism is becoming the norm, social unrest escalates, and the flood continues to rise. Like Mary, we must choose the good part, “…one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. Choose the softly flowing waters of the Holy Ghost!

Believe in the heart and confess with the mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!

No one is perfect, which is to say that we are all flawed by sin. God honors that humble attitude. We all know someone whose life has been changed because of what Christ did on the Cross to remit sin. I am one. God honors that belief. Confessing that we are flawed with sin, and believing in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross will reconcile us to God. That simple! Believe in the heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

Scripture Text
“Moreover the Lord said to me, “Take a large scroll, and write on it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. And I will take for Myself faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.” Then I went into the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. Then the Lord said to me, “Call his name Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz; for before the child shall have knowledge to cry ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be taken away before the king of Assyria.”

The Lord also spoke to me again, saying:
“Inasmuch as these people refused The waters of Shiloah that flow softly,
And rejoice in Rezin and in Remaliah’s son;
Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them
The waters of the River, strong and mighty—
The king of Assyria and all his glory;
He will go up over all his channels
And go over all his banks.
He will pass through Judah,
He will overflow and pass over,
He will reach up to the neck;”

(And the stretching out of his wings
Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.)
Isaiah 8:1-8

“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”                         Luke 10:42
