An Image of the Anti-Christ

09/21/2018 23:19

Lofty and haughty are two words that carry some strong definitions. Lofty is to be proud, aloof, self-important, and possessing an exalted nature. Haughty is to be arrogantly superior and disdainful. This might have been what Adam and Eve was destined for when they disobeyed the Living God to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. They learned real quick the nature of Satan’s evil, and learned real quick that self-righteousness isn’t good! Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God after that deadly act of disobedience. As it is written, “Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.” The only way to return to the Living God is through the Cross of Christ, as written, “If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

To be proud, aloof, self-important, possessing an exalted nature, to be arrogantly superior, and disdainful against the Living God are definitely the character of the anti-Christ. This is a person whom makes self and his government more important than God, the Cross of Christ, and the Holy Ghost. In essence, this haughty and lofty system of the anti-Christ makes itself to be God. BUT, the lofty looks of man will be humbled, and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. Jesus is coming soon! Meanwhile, as the day of the anti-Christ snowballs forward, there is going to be hatred, disrespect, and vain talk in the use of the name of the Living God. The proponents of the system of the anti-Christ intends not to allow anyone to rest in what Christ did for us on the Cross because in their lofty looks and haughtiness they demand for the anti-Christ alone to be their “peace.” They respect no authority whatsoever unless it is of the anti-Christ because they are darkly proud, aloof, self-important, possessing an exalted nature, arrogantly superior, and disdainful. Howbeit, Jesus Christ is coming soon! The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. There is hope for individuals, “If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Death and destruction litter society in the implementation of the system of the anti-Christ, simply because Satan’s character is to steal, kill, and destroy. This is why the battle of Armageddon will transpire; the anti-Christ will never be able to establish an absolute foundation of power. The Kingdom, Power, and Glory belongs to God. In this present world, Satan works through the desires of this flesh to cause chaos, violence, and conflict from person to person. The lofty looks and haughtiness of the anti-Christ has no mercy nor compassion for the population of people that are not under his influence. Howbeit, the lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. Jesus Christ is coming soon! The anti-Christ intends to destroy your faithfulness to the Living God, the Message of the Cross, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. In fact, Satan intends to destroy anything that contradicts faithfulness to the system of the anti-Christ. In these days, the lofty looks and haughtiness of the ungodly world will covet, lust for, lie, cheat, and steal to have the “plunder” of those who refuse to submit to the anti-Christ. Howbeit, the lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. Jesus is coming soon!

For individuals there is hope, redemption, and salvation that comes from the Cross of Christ. As stated, “If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  We are set apart from the lofty looks and haughtiness of this present world by a humble attitude that expresses our servitude to the Living God through the remission of sin by what Christ did for us on the Cross. The Spirit of Christ lives in us, through the Holy Ghost, to reconcile us to the Spirit of God. Those who reject what Christ has done for us on the Cross are proud of worldly possessions and images, aloof to the things of the Living God, filled with self-importance, possessing an exalted nature, are arrogantly superior, and disdainful to the treasures flowing from the Kingdom of God. The Spirit of Christ sets us apart from the lofty looks and haughtiness of the world by our humbleness in the presence of the Living God through the Cross of Christ. Jesus is Coming soon! Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord!

We are the Temple of God! Allow the Spirit of Christ to keep our thoughts, emotions, soul, spirit, and actions humble so that Satan will not puff up our egos in such a way that destroys our spirit and soul. The Spirit of the Living God fellowships with us through the spirit and soul when we abide in Christ Jesus.

Scriptural Text
“Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures. And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.”                           Isaiah 2:10-17 King James Version (KJV)

(The use of the word “pictures” in this King James Version is very unusual…they didn’t have pictures in those days, probably it should be “image”….we are living in the days under the influence of the spirit of the anti-Christ…well, all we can do is hang on to the meaning of the Cross, the remission of sin, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost)

“If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”                               2 Chronicles 7:14

No one is perfect, which is to say that we are all flawed by sin. God honors that humble attitude. We all know someone whose life has been changed because of what Christ did on the Cross to remit sin. I am one. God honors that belief. Confessing that we are flawed with sin, and believing in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross will reconcile us to God. That simple! Believe in the heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
